Galerie Maria Wettergren is pleased to inform you that after undergoing 2 years of major renovations, in June 2022 the Designmuseum Danmark has reopened its doors!

This internationally renowned museum houses extensive collections of arts & crafts and industrial design from the late Middle Ages to the present day. The museum’s permanent collection includes works by gallery artists Mathias Bengtsson, Astrid Krogh, Rasmus Fenhann, Tora Urup and Boris Berlin.

Installation of permanent collection of historic tableware covering the past 500 years

« It is possible to see the 500 years as an uninterrupted process and also to get very close to the exhibited objects…Like at the street party, where every house comes with the table they have, with that service and cutlery, they have in the cupboard…The display stays as a very big lighting crystal without joints and frames, that disturb the view and break the timeline. »
